Tap to select ABC mode. Tap to select Number & Symbol mode.



In ABC mode, tap to alter the capitalization:

(Unshifted) to enter all letters in a word lowercase.

(One-character-shifted) to capitalize only the first letter of a word.

(Caps lock) to enter all letters in a word uppercase.



The Number & Symbol keyboard is in two layers. Tap to display the second layer.



Some keys have alternate characters. In either mode, if a key displays an extra

character on the upper right corner, touch and hold the key to enter the character. Or,

touch and long hold a key to call up a list of all the characters available on that key,

and slide your finger to the character you want to enter on the list.

Swype User Dictionary

To add a word to your Swype dictionary:

Enter a word on the Swype keyboard by tapping each letter without sliding your finger.

Tap . The word is highlighted.

Tap again.

Tap Add “xxx” to dictionary.

To delete a word in your Swype dictionary:

Touch and hold on the Swype keyboard.

From the Home screen, tap > Settings > Language & input, and then tap next

to Swype.

Tap My Words > Edit my dictionary.

Tap a word to select it. You can tap to select all the words in the dictionary.

Tap > OK.
